It has been a real pleasure to meet you last Friday during the first class of “Design Thinking for start-ups”. I have really enjoyed our conversation about design thinking, entrepreneurship and innovation. And I had great fun as we engaged in hands-on activities (see pic below) – I hope they proved useful for you to experience what it means to put yourself into the shoes of users, and understand their needs. I would encourage you to engage with this paper in the next days: Dorst, K. (2011) The core of ‘design thinking’ and its application. Design studies 32,(6), 521-532. I think this is a good read, as it lays the foundations for understanding design thinking, and how this can inform the management of businesses and start-ups.
